Celebrations All Round.
A DOUBLE celebration is in order in the Holden household in Edinburgh. For not only has 24-year-old Marie Louise successfully completed her SVQ Level Three in Social Care with BC Consultants but she has also just given birth to a bouncing baby boy called Bjorn. She has found her qualification particularly useful as it is recognised throughout the European Union including her native Sweden. Prior to tackling the course she had not done any training that would be recognised by the Care Commission in Scotland. Before little Bjorn came along, Marie Louise worked in the Day Centre at Tipereth in the Colinton area of Edinburgh, as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities. She intends continuing in Social Care which she is very committed to in terms of working with adults who have learning disabilities.
Assessor, Jackie Porteous, said: ”Marie Louise was an excellent candidate and we want to congratulate her on her new arrival.”
