The Sky’s the Limit.
HAVING successfully completed previous SVQs, I undertook level 4 in January 2007. Although the duration of the course was 18 months, my personal goal was to achieve within 12 months as I had booked a visit to see my eldest daughter Kymm who lives in Australia. I was delighted to learn in December 2007 my goal had been accomplished. Although it was hard work combining study, a full time job and home life, the benefits have been extremely rewarding. Not only are the courses interesting, the course work and modules assisted in ascertaining how tasks and practices can be incorporated into the working environment.
Vi Frost my assessor supported me throughout the course with her guidance and expertise, which were second to none. Her friendly approachable attitude made it easy to ask questions without feeling intimidated. Her continued encouragement and drive pushed me forward to achieve so I can’t thank Vi enough for her sheer determination in making my ambitions a reality.
Level 4 has certainly given me more confidence and in addition has opened new doors for me in terms of career opportunities. I am soon to be joining a local residential home for the elderly as a Senior Care Deputy Manager so the managerial skills I learned during this course will be immensely beneficial proving that with the appropriate qualification: the sky really is the limit.
