Why is staff development and training so important in administration?
Effective Administration is fundamental to the operation of all organisations regardless of sector or size. BC Consultants is able to offer a range of training solutions that will develop staff to appropriate levels of knowledge and expertise.

What do we offer?

• Scottish Vocational Qualification 2 Business and Administration
• Scottish Vocational Qualification 3 Business and Administration
• Individual SVQ units from Level 2 Business and Administration
(Provide reception services OR Store and retrieve information OR Plan and organise meetings OR Make and receive telephone calls OR Provide administrative support in schools)
• Modern Apprenticeship in Business and Administration

What do SVQs include?
Mandatory units plus the opportunity to choose from a range of optional units to suit the individual's and company's particular needs.

SVQs in Business and Administration

What is involved?
Flexible workplace learning and assessment: our Assessors will meet with candidates in the workplace and agree an individual learning plan with targets.

Who are they for?
Anyone who is employed in an administrative role

Where do they take place?
In the candidate’s workplace, but, if required, additional training and support can be provided at one of our Borders College sites.

When?
All year round! The duration of the programme is negotiable and dependent upon individual candidate progress. However, guidance is offered to businesses and individuals to ensure that the qualification is achieved within an agreed timetable in line with the needs of the business.

How much do they cost?
SVQ 2 £800, SVQ 3 £960 (Individual unit £200)
Funding may be available from Skills development Scotland for Modern Apprenticeships

If you have fewer than 150 employees, you may be able to access funding for some of these qualifications from Skills Development Scotland and receive up to 50% of the costs towards your employees’ training needs.
