Why is staff development and training so important in customer service?
All organisations aspire for their staff to continually deliver the very highest standards of customer service as a fundamental part of their business competitiveness. This can only be achieved through development of staff across a widening area of the business activities, to be made aware of new techniques, developments, and communication of best practice. BC Consultants is able to assist businesses to achieve this goal through provision of a wide range of training solutions, through which organisations can encourage their staff to develop, maintain and continually improve the competencies needed.

What do we offer?

• Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 2 Customer Service
• Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 3 Customer Service

• Modern Apprenticeship in Customer Service

What do SVQs include?
Mandatory units plus the opportunity to choose from a range of optional units to suit the individual's and company's particular needs.

SVQs in Customer Service

What is involved?
Flexible workplace learning and assessment: our Assessors will meet with candidates in the workplace and agree an individual learning plan with targets.

Who are they for?
Anyone who is employed in a customer service role.

Where do they take place?
In the candidate’s workplace, but, if required, additional training and support can be provided at one of our Borders College sites.

When?
All year round! The duration of the programme is negotiable and dependent upon individual candidate progress. However, guidance is offered to businesses and individuals to ensure that the qualification is achieved within an agreed timetable in line with the needs of the business.

How much do they cost?
SVQ 2 £800, SVQ 3 £960 (Individual unit £200)

Funding may be available from Skills development Scotland for Modern Apprenticeships
