chef's school
Borders College has for many years offered a range of professional level courses and training to the local Catering & Hospitality industry in addition to training full-time students.
This training is offered through the 'Chefs School' brand and delivers a wide range of training from Short Courses to Masterclasses - delivered by experts in their field. Specialist Consultancy & Advice, plus Business Development support is also available to businesses involved in the Food & Drink sector whether this be Catering & Hospitality, Food Processing or Manufacturing, Kitchen facilities within Childcare and Care establishments, Sports Clubs, Staff Canteens, etc. The `Chefs School' training follows a non-traditional method of learning which is flexible and `tailor-made' to the needs of the businesses and their employees.
The project has been developed in conjunction with SEB, SBC, SBTB and the Scottish BordersTourism Business Forum in the spirit of `New Ways' to ensure co-ordinated dialogue and delivery from all affiliated organisations and to `broker' these support services to the industry.
