BC Consultants has a reputable long-standing experience in delivery of training to the Financial & Insurance Industry. This includes both Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQ) and Professional Qualifications allied to the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Courses and qualifications are available across a range of levels to equip those working within Insurance Companies and affiliated organisations to progress within their respective fields. Our Team of highly experienced and qualified staff are able to advise businesses on the appropriate learning options and can provide a wide range of support to ensure that both learners and their employers are achieving their goals.

Training for this industry sector will become a priority as the sector addresses the requirements of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) statutory regulations. Our Team are able to provide advice and guidance to businesses to enable them to prepare for this.

Award in Insurance

This award is suitable for someone new to the insurance industry and an ideal starting point to gain industry related recognition of competence.

A "Record of Achievement" and 6 credits towards future studies is awarded by CTT to those who pass the multiple-choice test.

The course covers 6 elements (valued at 6 credits each):-

Certificate in Insurance

This qualification provides a grounding in insurance covering a broad range of topics. In order to gain the full award, candidates must complete units totalling 40 credits.

Candidates must include either IF1 Legal and Regulatory OR PO1 Insurance Practice. The remaining credits are gained from other units. The certificate units cover (valued at 15 credits each):-

Diploma in Insurance

The Diploma covers technical knowledge and skills within the industry and demonstrates commitment to a career in insurance. Candidates need 110 credits to gain the Diploma including some compulsory units. You can also include units from the Advanced Diploma.

Certified Training: BC Consultants has a highly significant retention and achievement record for Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQ) candidates; the current qualifications offered include:

Insurance Intermediates, Insurance Life Offices and Insurance General

Short Course Programme: Core Skills; available at all levels, either as stand alone units or as part of an MA Programme
